| Lovozera was originally a Sammi (Lap) village, but is now completely Russian. We were taken to a lake shore where Russian men had prepared reindeer, fish soup, and other good stuff to eat. | This lake is in the forest tundra, or the Lesotundra, as the Russians call it. In the background you can see the Arctic tundra - no trees. | We were excited to be here because it was our first close look at the tundra. | ||||
